A collection of photographs in the process control automation industry
This section covers a brief history over the years I have been in the automation area from the mid-1970s through today.
Automation is critical to the successful operation of industrial projects and covers a variety of applications. In 1976, automation projects began to move from computer based controls with the first Distributed Control System at Imperial Oil in Sarnia Canada. With few exceptions, all industrial applications use computer monitoring and controls. This video highlights a few applications and state of the art control rooms where automation is important to the process and energy industries.
